Who We Are
Rev. Warren Clifton
Our pastor Warren Clifton grew up in DeQuincy, Louisiana before moving to Shreveport to attend Centenary College and sing with the Centenary College Choir. Warren served several Shreveport area churches as a licensed local pastor and then completed his M.Div. at Iliff School of Theology in Denver while serving Faith Crossing UMC in Walker. He was ordained an elder in full connection at the 2016 Annual Conference, and began serving the well July 1 of this year. Before entering ministry Warren worked in third-party recruiting, sales, consulting, development (fundraising), and business management for over 15 years. Warren earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Centenary, as well as an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. Warren has been approved as a Transitional Intentional Interim Ministry Specialist (TIIMS) by GBHEM's United Methodist Endorsing Agency and enjoys serving organizations and churches in transition. Warren and Annelise Christensen Clifton have been married 24 years. Annelise is a preacher's kid, and graduated from Centenary College and Dedman School of Law at SMU. The Cliftons have three school-age children: Sawyer, Ransom, and Harper. He prefers jeans and work boots over a robe and stole or a suit and tie and non-traditional worship over organ music.
Heather Sullivan, Small Group Ministry
Heather joined our staff in February 2010. During her years of ministry at The Well, she has developed a passion for radical hospitality, dynamic children’s ministry, and reaching the unchurched, especially young adults. A lifelong Methodist and preacher’s kid, Heather has attended and served several United Methodist churches. By far, The Well is her favorite! Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s in Religious Education from Loyola University New Orleans. She has been married to Jeff Sullivan since 2011, and they are the proud parents of Liam and Declan.
Melissa Guerra, Youth Director
I have been part of this wonderful congregation since 2011. After working for some time on the media team, I jumped at the opportunity to become the youth director, as well. I love every minute I spend with our youth. Whether we are playing games, sharing God's word, or serving together, I enjoy mentoring youth and showing them God's unconditional love. I hope to help them grow spiritually and empower them to be and see God's grace in the world. When I'm not planning media for worship or hanging with the youth I enjoy baking, Irish dancing, and playing video games with my husband.
